“Motion for Justice” is a product of the Dignity, Racial Justice, and Prosecution Initiative led by the Vera Institute of Justice’s Reshaping Prosecution program and John Jay College of Criminal Justice’s Institute for Innovation in Prosecution. This guidance was devised during two convenings and a six-month working group process with legal scholars, advocates who have been directly impacted by the criminal legal system, and prosecutors committed to the pursuit of racial justice.
